The swimming pool has turned into a wildlife pool which is making it attractive to many insects. Possibly the the most beautiful of them are the Dragonflys.
The one below is an Epaulet Skimmer (Orthetrum chrysostigma). There are a plenty of all blue dragonflys in Spain, so how to tell this one apart from the others? The Epaulet Skimmer has a white stripe on eachside of the thorax which can be seen in the photo below.
